In writing my full review for Dream Connections, Mark Edward Davis (The company owner) put me in contact with some men who had previously gone on a Romance tour with Dream Connections.
I wrote up a quick questionnaire to send out to any of these men who were willing to share their experience. I quoted bits and pieces of these interviews in my full review of Dream Connections, but I thought it worthwhile to share the full unedited survey answers here.
The first client survey is from a man named Robert who met his wife on a Dream Connections tour in Colombia. The second is from a man named David who met his wife on a tour in Ukraine.
1) How well did the speed dating/meet & greet events work, how do they compare with past dating experiences?
Very well. Yes! There’s know comparing whatsoever, best ever.
2) Did you extend your stay after the tour? How did DC help you with that?
No.
3) Did you make a return trip? If so, did DC help at all with that?
Yes. No, I didn’t need DC at that moment I went back 3 more times before my wife and daughter arrive back in the states, I’m sure if I needed anything DC would have been there with open arms for me, know matter how many times I return to Colombia I think about what DC did for me and my family, I own them big time if not for DC I wouldn’t have the beautiful family I have today.
4) What value did DC offer after the tour and after you already met your lady?
The great thing about DC even when you are back in the states with your soon to be wife and daughter they were a phone call away to help you if needed, even guiding you in the right direction when time to start your paperwork and etc..
5) Can you describe your experience with your translator?
I’m sure all the translator were great, but I felt like I had best ever, after setting down and speaking with her letting her know a little about myself and what I’m looking for, from then on everything was a breeze until I left heading back home DC did an excellent job in matching us together, that all come from DC getting to know me as well. In your opinion how important was she to your success? Very important, she like part of the family now.
6) What is your opinion of the pre trip training videos? Did these video help contribute to your success on the tour (if so how?)
*Question was unanswered
7) Have dated overseas using a different tour company or maybe a dating site? How does your experience with Dream Connections compare?
Let just say don’t look any further then DC :- )
8) What did you like most about your experience with Dream Connections?
Know matter what you needed DC was there for you the whole time, all you had to do was just show up and just be the gentleman that you are around the beautiful ladies that you will meet.
9) Is there anything you didn’t like about your experience, or you think could be improved?
Nothing. If they change anything or make it any better all the other companies out there would be out of business.

Very well. Yes! There’s know comparing whatsoever, best ever.
2) Did you extend your stay after the tour? How did DC help you with that?
I could not extend my stay as Australians have to have a visa and i needed to buy my tickets before. Dream Connection looks after you when you arrive and helps you get back to the airport when you leave. For us Australians we need to plan to stay longer when we go and it is a risk if you do not find someone. You can pay your interpreter to work with you longer and could keep dating after the initial week is over however and that is a good feature. I did not extend my stay but did go a few days early and spent them in Odessa before the tour..
3) Did you make a return trip? If so, did DC help at all with that?
I went back a few months later and at that time I got engaged. There was a tour going on at the time and I did catch up with people I knew and my interpreter but did not need the help so much. Katya had already learned so much english from our Skype calls that we did for hours at a time. I would sit up late at night and on my days off talking until I would fall asleep and Katya had her laptop at work and would stop to serve customers at the shop she worked at. We started using Google translate but found we were using it less. A few months after this I went back again and got married in the Ukraine. Then Katya came here for a few months to show her daughter Australia. It was a requirement for her ex before he would agree for permission for his daughter come to live in Australia.
The visa process for a partner Visa in Australia takes 12 to 15 months. Instead of Katya waiting that long and have to go visit all the time we waited a few months and then I got her to come to me with her daughter on a 12 month visa and notified immigration caseworker that she would be in Australia. Katya had to then leave the country for 3 days as the visa was processed for her partner visa and then re-enter on that visa.
4) What value did DC offer after the tour and after you already met your lady?
I loved that fact that I had to be screened to make sure I was genuine and not a sex tourist or something. Its showed Dream Connections' standards and that it was more than just to make money. Let's get things straight, of course they are a business and its about the money but they showed me I was in good hands and I would need to live to their standards and the woman would also go through something similar. Dream connection has a couples group on Facebook were the couple can support each other and give advice on visa and other things if the ladies for example are finding it hard to settle in. They also have functions and couple meet up to spend time at disneyland. That is hard for us here in Australia. Once we get a few couples in Australia I will be hopefully going to organize for us to all get together here and have a Australia support group to help with our visa and adjustment to Australia. After all we have different concerns like nasty spiders and snakes that women have to adjust too 🙂
5) Can you describe your experience with your translator?
My interpreter was a very big part of my success she made both Katya and myself feel more comfortable on our dates. When I wanted to do something special like bring sushi lunch to her on her lunch break at work, Mila my interpreter helped me. She left us alone a few times staying close by so we had to communicate without an interpreter. This made us work to communicate more and was not as easy, but we both knew we could do it for when i went home. Mila also helped me plan my proposal. Ok course it did not work out the way i planned and i had to improvise but that is all part of our story, and Katya said yes so i would not change anything.
6) What is your opinion of the pre trip training videos? Did these video help contribute to your success on the tour (if so how?)
I think they did assist me in my success and helped me feel more confident. I learned a lot of Russian by myself as well and read books on making friends and influencing people. I also read books on fashion and what clothes are good for my build and color as well as what clothes women are generally attracted to. .
7) Have dated overseas using a different tour company or maybe a dating site? How does your experience with Dream Connections compare?
I used a dating site writing letters and think there were many scams. My wife has since enforced this by telling me she knows of many woman that she believes were on that site as a job and get money and gifts from men. I used many local dating sites, but had many scammers pretending to be woman in trouble and needing money sent via western union. Dream Connections were very very different and was my only positive experience using sites over many years.
8) What did you like most about your experience with Dream Connections?
My interpreter was the best feature and help to me and was I think the greatest reason for my success. Meeting my wife was the greatest thing though..
9) Is there anything you didn’t like about your experience, or you think could be improved?
I think the only thing is i would like to have met my interpreter a few days before the social and work with her and have closer relationship before the social event if that would have been possible.
